Author Bio:

Aleatha Romig voted #1 "New Author to Read" on Goodreads, July 2012 through now! She is a "Published Author's Network" member of the Romance Writer's of America.

She has lived most of her life in Indiana, growing-up in Mishawaka, graduating from Indiana University, and currently living south of Indianapolis. Together with her husband of twenty six years, they've raised three children. She works days as a dental hygienist and enjoys spending her nights writing. She also likes to spend time with her family, friends and patients. Her pastimes include exercising, reading and writing.

Aleatha enjoys traveling, especially when there is a beach involved. In 2011 she had the opportunity to visit Sydney, Australia to visit her daughter studying at the University of Wollongong. Her dream is to travel to places in her novels and around the world. CONSEQUENCES, her first novel was released in August 2011 and has sold over 20,000 copies. As a zealous fan of the Consequences series by Aleatha Romig I will read anything even remotely Claire, Tony, and Phil related. Meant to be merely a peek beyond the end of the Consequences series, these characters are too ingrained in their fans' hearts and lives with too much to say, too many unanswered questions, and not enough happy endings to remain confined to the parameters of a novella. It seems Beyond the Consequences was meant to be a story about Claire and Tony after all of the heartache, after all of the drama is said and done, to wrap them up in a picture perfect bow of happily ever after. Unfortunately things in the Rawlings family are never easy or without complication. Beyond the Consequences is not just your typical Aleatha Romig thriller rife with obstacles and suspense, but also a sweet and heartwarming addition to this unforgettable series that is rewarding and encouraging and with which we can finally find glorious satisfaction.

Each and every one of these beloved characters have come such a long way from the early books in the series. Tony, of course, has made leaps and bounds and has learned a great deal about control, compromise, and love with Claire by his side. Claire has blossomed into the strong, confident, assertive, fearless woman that was hiding behind the beaten down and broken girl from the previous books. And Phil has really opened up to the idea of sharing, being a part of a family, and even romance.

Phil has always been an intriguing character. Much like readers' early distrust and contempt for Tony, when we were first introduced to Phil he seemed to be an unseemly character who was only out for himself with a mission to hurt Claire. Just like our feelings for Tony morphed over the course of the series, so did our feelings about Phil. We soon began to see that Phil's loyalty knows no bounds and that there is absolutely nothing Phil would not do for Claire, then Nichol, and finally for the entire Rawlings family. This was only further perpetuated in this story as Phil proves over and over his devotion and adoration to those he sees as part of his own family encouraging an ever burgeoning warmth and love for Phil and sealing him in our hearts as a generous, respectable, and loveable character. This time around we really get to dig down deep and see inside Phil. We finally get a heartbreaking glimpse into Phil's past but are then fortunate enough to see him embrace forgiveness of himself, how far he has come, and the life that he has made with the Rawlings family. It is a wonderful change to now see and experience his happiness, not just in the lives of his surrogate family, but in his own.

Despite the abundance of complications and roadblocks this family has had to, and continues to face, this is a much more lighthearted story with a bit more steam, a lot more fun and love, and the sweet and touching ending we have been craving for so long.

Beyond the Consequences is an added, unexpected, and completely welcome bonus to an amazing series. I am elated to hear, after expecting time after time for each new book to be the last, that though there is no certainty, this book does not have to be the end. The possibilities for this series to continue are endless and I hope for much more to come.
