The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend's Sister by Meghan Quinn: Cover Reveal

Blurb:

How do you date your best friend's sister? Easy.

Step one: Pretend you want her to set you up with someone else. That will bring the two of you closer.

Step two: Go on date with lots of random women, proceed to get stupid drunk and talk about your best friend's sister, thus gaining the courage to finally make a move.

Step three: Randomly show up at her apartment and confess your love. Women love that, right?

It all seemed so simple. A fool-proof three step process that will guarantee the love of you life to fall madly in love with you.

At least--that's what I thought was going to happen. But my attempts to win over Julia Westin backfired in more ways than I can count. The thing about Julia? She's smart--really smart--and her wicked gaze cuts through all the charm I've tried slinging her way. She's not interested in games, my gifts, or my stories. She might want me too; but she's not giving in that easy...

About Meghan Quinn:

When I was in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage things so I didn't take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day, wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't until I received a Kindle for Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking for books I came across the Contemporary Romance genre and was sold and I haven't turned back since.

You can either find my head buried in my Kindle, listening to inspiring heart ripping music or typing away on the computer twisting and turning the lives of my characters while driving my readers crazy with anticipation.

I currently reside in beautiful Colorado Springs where the sun is always shining and there is a trail waiting to be hiked on every corner. I share a lovely and warm home with the love of my life and my five, four-legged children.

Blurb:

That time I had the brilliant idea to ask my good friend for lessons in sex-ploration…

Awkward? Maybe. But how else is a good girl going to find out if she likes being naughty? I might be sweet as cherry pie, but I'm also bold and damn curious. And Gabe is charming, trustworthy, aces at seduction (or so I hear) and—bonus!— willing to give me lessons. But to guarantee it won’t ruin our friendship, I have some specific requirements for his instruction. I want these classes to be hypothetical more than hands-on. So what if he’s hella sexy? I can handle that, no problem.

***

I have it bad for Arden. She's bright, brilliant, insanely fun, and I want to take her home and spend all night together—and then spend the day with her, too. When she asks for my help, I see my chance to win her sweet heart by showing her how much fun we can have getting spicy. Trouble is, she has a different idea of what “sex-ploration” should mean. Now I’m going to have to get really clever to win her over.

Good thing I know exactly how to upend her best laid plans.

A gorgeous former Marine with a tortured soul.
The beautiful, compassionate therapist living next door.
A meddlesome grandma determined to get them together.

From USA Today Bestselling Author Melanie Harlow comes an all new standalone romance that will make you believe in the redemptive power of love.

I was expecting a proposal on my birthday, and I got dumped instead.

How could I have been so clueless?

Grams knew exactly how to distract me.

The “cute boy next door” who’s been helping her with yard work clearly needs a little therapy. Who better to call than her newly single therapist granddaughter?

She even fakes dementia to get me to visit, and now that I’m here she’s doing everything in her power to throw us together.

Some wounds are so deep, only love can heal them.

How can I convince him to let me try?

Mouth to Mouth (Beach Kingdom #1) by Tessa Bailey: Review

Blurb:

A man with a prison record has no place around a fresh faced college student. Tell that to Rory Prince. He should stay the hell away from Olive Cunningham. There’s one small problem, though. She won’t stop almost getting killed—and with this too-smart, too-sweet girl holding his heart in her hands, Rory is powerless to do anything but keep saving her.

Homeschooled from a young age, Olive is now out on her own and discovering the world, one milkshake flavor at a time. Until recently, she has experienced life through books. She’s walked in a million sets of shoes while flipping pages—enough to know that Rory gives her once-in-a-lifetime feelings. If only he would stop trying to protect her…from himself.

About the Author:

Thank you for your interest in my books! I'm Tessa and I live in the crazy, loud, overcrowded borough of Brooklyn, New York. I love it here. This city is a constant source of inspiration, which is why I've decided to set my most recent books in the Line of Duty Series here.

I moved to New York when I was eighteen, the day after I graduated high school. Threw my suitcase in the back of a Chevrolet Cavalier and drove across the country to find my adventure. I'm still finding it, little by little.

Thank you for being a part of it.

Yvette's Review:

What’s better than a new release from Tessa Bailey? A SURPRISE release from Tessa Bailey! I knew little going in to Mouth to Mouth, yet the blurb and the bad boy/good girl storyline definitely piqued my interest. While this isn’t the first time the author has used this trope, the pairing of a former convict and a fresh-faced college student gave Mouth to Mouth a bit of a forbidden, decadently dirty feel. And boy was this book dirty…which isn’t surprising since Tessa Bailey is the queen of dirty-talking heroes. But I must say she managed to outdo herself (once again) with Rory Price.

With a chip on his shoulder, an easily-ignited temper, and a devil may care attitude, Rory Price is the textbook definition of trouble. A stint in prison and two jobs working as a lifeguard by day and bartender by night has him going through each day on autopilot. It’s only when dedicated bookworm and danger magnet, Olive Cunningham, unexpectedly bursts into his life that it’s turned upside down. For Rory, Olive is an anomaly in his monotonous daily life, wide-eyed and eager to experience the world around her after having been sheltered for the first eighteen years of her life. For Olive, Rory is this smooth-talking, experienced older guy with an unmistakable aura of danger about him. They are two complete opposites, inexplicably drawn together by an intense and unadulterated attraction to each other.

Never has a bad boy/good girl romance been as heart-meltingly sweet, as relentlessly erotic, and as achingly romantic as Mouth to Mouth. As the quintessential good girl, Olive has a naïve and optimistic outlook on life thanks to her unconventional upbringing. She’s unaccustomed to the unrestrained, all-consuming desire that Rory evokes in her, but is determined to explore their connection, even as he attempts to keep his distance to save her from himself. Despite his assurance that he’s not good for Olive, Rory reveres her and handles her with painstaking care…unless it’s in the bedroom, where he’s possessive and demanding, worshiping her body and uttering jaw-droppingly filthy words with practiced ease. *cue major swooning*

With protagonists that are endearing, emotionally compelling, and multi-faceted, a storyline that'll tug on your heartstrings, and a romance that'll make you sigh, blush, and dissolve in a puddle of swoon, Mouth to Mouth is another must-read from Tessa Bailey! While I didn't want Mouth to Mouth to end, finishing the book was a bit easier knowing we'll be getting more of the Beach Kingdom Series in the future. I have a sneaking suspicion we've already met all our future protagonists and I can't wait to discover who and what comes next.

Hotshot Doc by R.S. Grey: Cover Reveal

NOT SO NICE GUY by R.S. Grey releases December 6th! You'll be able to preorder your copy for 99 cents beginning December 3rd! Keep an eye on R.S. Grey’s facebook page for the link.

Blurb:

Dr. Russell has a bad reputation around our hospital. The scrub techs say he’s cold-blooded, the nurses say he’s too cocky for his own good, and the residents say he’s the best surgeon in the world—really, just a swell guy!—on the off chance he’s within earshot.

I try to avoid him and his temper at all costs. It’s just as easy to admire his sexy, grip-it-while-he’s-ravishing-you hair and chiseled jaw from a healthy distance, preferably from the other end of the hallway…half-hidden behind a plant.

Unfortunately, my plan crumbles when my trusty ol’ boss decides to swap his white coat for a Hawaiian shirt. His retirement leaves me with two terrible options: switch specialties and spend months retraining, or take an open position as Dr. Russell’s surgical assistant.

That means I have to stand near him in the OR for hours on end and anticipate his every need without letting his biting words and bad attitude intimidate me. Oh, and as if that’s not difficult enough, my silly crush on him—the one I’ve tried to stomp on until it disappears—might just be reciprocated.

It’s fine.
I’m fine.

I take my job seriously. There will be no smoldering bedroom eyes across the operating table, no angry almost-kisses in the storage closet. (Well, no more of those.)

What’s the phrase? An apple a day keeps the doctor away?
Maybe I should go for a whole damn bushel.

We Shouldn't by Vi Keeland: Cover Reveal

Blurb:

Bennett Fox walked into my life on one hell of a crappy Monday morning.

I was late for the first day at my new job—a job I’d now have to compete for even though I’d already worked eight years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger.

While I lugged my belongings up to my new office, a meter maid wrote me a parking summons.

She’d ticketed a long line of cars—except for the Audi parked in front of me, which happened to be the same make and model as mine.

Annoyed, I decided to regift my ticket to the car that had evaded a fine. Chances were, the owner would pay it and be none the wiser.

Except, I accidentally broke the windshield wiper while slipping the ticket onto the car’s window.

Seriously, my day couldn’t get any worse.

Things started to perk up when I ran into a gorgeous man in the elevator. We had one of those brief moments that only happened in movies.

You know the deal…your body lights up, fireworks go off, and the air around you crackles with electricity.

His heated stare left me flush when I stepped off the elevator.

Maybe things here wouldn’t be so bad after all.

Or so I thought.

Until I walked into my new boss’s office and met my competition.

The gorgeous man from the elevator was now my nemesis. His heated stare wasn’t because of any mutual attraction. It was because he’d saw me vandalize his car. And now he couldn’t wait to annihilate his rival.

There’s a fine line between love and hate—and we shouldn’t cross it.

We shouldn’t—but straddling that line could be so much fun.

Yvette's Review:

After reading and loving Tattered and Timid, I was eager to get my hands on Tragic, the third book in Devney Perry’s Lark Cove Series. While I recognized Logan’s assistant, Piper, from Tattered, I was intrigued by the prospect of getting to know Kaine, Piper’s mysterious, bad-tempered new neighbor. With a title like Tragic, I wasn’t exactly expecting sunshine and rainbows and a smooth road to Happily Ever After. I was braced for tragedy and heartache and what I got was a raw, complicated, emotional roller coaster of a love story that’s completely and utterly riveting from start to finish.

After a messy divorce and the need for a fresh start, Piper Campbell relocates across the country, following her boss, Logan, who’s made a home in Montana. A chance encounter with a rugged, brooding man while house-hunting changes the course of her life, setting her right in the path of Kaine Reynolds. Her reclusive neighbor is the suffer-in-silence type, haunted by personal demons which he has no desire to divulge. His ill-mannered first impression and subsequent attempt to keep Piper at arm’s length are no match for the instant attraction that flares between them, though, leading to a passionate, no-strings-attached fling. Of course, the more time they spend with each other, the more they break down each other's barriers, and it becomes increasingly more difficult to remain emotionally detached.

I suspected that delving into the backstories of two damaged characters whose pasts are rife with pain and suffering wouldn't make Tragic an easy read. The entire time I was reading, I felt this intense, heavy weight on my chest, expecting the worst but hoping for the best. Opening his heart to Piper, who remains bubbly and optimistic despite the challenges life’s thrown at her, presents a new beginning for Kaine, who's spent years drowning in darkness and solitude. Their
uninhibited passion and their unapologetically primal need for each other act as a catalyst, breathing life back into both Kaine and Piper. With each chapter and each new insight to both these characters, the weight on my chest lessened more and more.

If you’re in the mood for a gut-wrenchingly angsty romance that’ll tug on your heartstrings, Tragic will hit you right smack dab in the feels. With a scorching hot romance, a character-driven, emotionally compelling storyline, and protagonists that'll keep you enraptured until the final page, Tragic is another must-read in Devney Perry's Lark Cove Series.

Excerpt:

Avery’s head shot up at the sound of a female voice calling her name.

“Lori?”

Oh, damn…

When Lori was at their table, Avery detached from Liam’s side and stood for a hug. “What are you doing here? Where’s Reed?”

Lori eyed Liam while she answered the questions. “Reed’s on his way down. We’re going out to dinner. Wanted a drink first.”

What were the chances of Lori excusing herself before Avery was forced to make an introduction?

Lori reached out a hand toward Liam. “I’m Lori.”

Liam stood; a broad smile matched his broad chest. “Liam Holt.” Once he released Lori’s hand, he pulled out a bar stool. “Sit, we just ordered drinks.”

Avery wanted to elbow his ribs.

Instead, she smiled.

Liam signaled for Nikki.

“Liam, huh? Avery hasn’t mentioned you.”

He pulled Avery’s chair closer to his and waited for her to sit. “We haven’t known each other long.”

Lori sent a questioning look to Avery. Instead of adding to Liam’s explanation.

“I’ve known Lori for a few years. We live in the same building.”

“What do you do, Liam?”

Small talk … is that what this was going to be?

Lori signaled Reed when he walked in the door. “This is my husband.”

Avery laughed. “You love saying that, don’t you?”

Lori nodded.

“They’re newlyweds,” Avery explained.

Once again Liam stood when Reed approached the table.

“Look who I found,” Lori said.

Reed kissed Avery’s cheek. “I haven’t seen you here in a while.”

“That’s because you two never come up for air,” Avery teased.

“This is Liam … Avery’s friend.” Yeah, Lori wanted more details.

The men shook hands.

“Have I ever met one of your friends?” he asked.

Avery glared. “Smooth, Reed … really smooth.”

Lori nudged her husband’s arm. “Stop teasing.” She turned her focus on Liam. “Avery keeps her private life private.”

Avery tried not to flinch when Liam placed a hand over hers. “I’ve figured that out recently.”

“How did you two meet?” Reed asked.

Avery said “the gym” at the same time Liam said “a bar.”

Lori’s lawyer radar spiked. Avery saw it in her eyes. “Those two things are worlds apart.”

She caught Liam’s hand and squeezed.

“The first time I saw you was at Pug’s Bar. I approached you at the gym.”

“I knew it. That was you at Pug’s. How did you figure out where I worked out?” She’d been asking herself that question for over a week.

“That wasn’t hard. Leslie had a gym bag.”

“Who’s Leslie?” Lori asked.

Avery didn’t look away from Liam. “A friend. So your job at the gym wasn’t on accident?”

“I might have approached Brenda about a side job so I could meet you.”

Avery’s jaw dropped.

“Who’s Brenda?” Reed asked.

“The owner of the gym,” Avery and Liam said at the same time. “How did you know I was there on Tuesday and Friday nights?” She wasn’t sure if his actions were exciting or scary.

“Appointment book. Brenda’s office is always open.”

“Wait, wait, wait.” Lori placed a hand between the two of theirs. “You see Avery in a bar. You search out a location of her gym, follow her to it, get a job there, and now you’re both here having drinks?”

Liam offered a brief, unapologetic nod.

Lori grabbed Avery’s hand. “How well do you know this guy?”

Avery liked the gleam in Liam’s eyes. “He’s safe.”

“What he just described is a little too close to stalking for my taste.”

Reed placed a hand on Lori’s shoulder. “Simmer down, Counselor. If Liam had an ulterior motive, he wouldn’t have told us all that.”

“I wanted to meet you,” Liam said. “

Yeah, well, you’ve met her.” Lori wasn’t happy.

Nikki showed up with Avery’s and Liam’s drinks.

“My usual, Nikki,” Lori told her.

“Hon, our reservations are in thirty minutes. Maybe we should go.”

Lori looked at Reed like he was crazy. “We aren’t leaving him with her. He could be a sociopath.”

Liam smiled, his eyes crinkling with amusement. “I’m not.”

“That’s what they all say.”

Avery put a free hand in the air. “Chill, Lori.”

Avery realized that her other hand had somehow ended up back in Liam’s. His thumb stroked the underside of her wrist in a strangely calming way.

“Do you want a drink, Reed?” Nikki was still standing there, watching the four of them.

“No, thank you. We’re leaving.”

Lori pushed back her chair. “We’re going to talk about this later,” she warned Avery. “And you … just so you know, I’m an attorney, and my big, burly husband here is in private security. He has even bigger friends.”

Liam reached into his back pocket and removed his wallet. From it, he pulled out what looked like a business card. “I have nothing to hide.”

Lori glanced at it briefly before Reed snatched it from her fingertips. “C’mon. Let’s leave them to their date.”

Liam stood again and shook Reed’s hand before he ushered Lori out of the bar.

“That was intense.”

“My friends are protective.”

“Understatement.”

“You really went through all that just to meet me?”

Liam picked up his cocktail for the first time. “Worked, didn’t it?”

Avery let loose his hand and lifted her glass to his. “Yes, it did.”
