I’ve long been curious about who the author would pair with Seduction’s fiery Italian chef, and I was thrilled to learn she would get a second chance at love with a mysterious former flame. Savor You is a flirty, sexy romance packed with heat and heart. Throw in several smoking hot love scenes, a cast of tight-knit, engaging characters, and a storyline with minimal angst, and
Savor You is exactly the type of book I love to read.
If I had to pick a favorite trope, it would be the second chance romance. The familiarity and the intimacy between the characters is so much more impactful when they have a history with each other. That’s exactly the case with protagonists, Mia Palazzo and Camden Sawyer in
Savor You. The renowned chefs are reunited for a cooking competition where things heat up quickly, both in and out of the kitchen. Mia and Camden discover that their chemistry is as potent as the sexual tension that simmers between them.
When it comes to her career, Mia is driven, intensely passionate, and single-minded in her focus on running the kitchen at Seduction. It was therefore a fascinating change of pace that Camden’s character is more confident and laidback, calmly and coolly taking everything that comes at him in stride. With Camden, Mia’s playful, more carefree side emerges, while Mia brings out Camden’s sweet, protective side. Camden and Mia have a good-naturedly teasing banter that’s just plain entertaining. They can be intimate and vulnerable with each other but they can also laugh and joke around and not take themselves too seriously. Most importantly, I loved that Camden builds up Mia’s self-esteem when she’s preoccupied with her insecurities – a quality that had me sighing and swooning with each thoughtful action and heartfelt comment.
With
Savor You, Kristen Proby delivers a lighthearted, amusing, and hopelessly romantic love story. This book is a delightfully perfect conclusion not just to Mia’s story but to the entire Fusion Series that fans of the series will undoubtedly love. It’s always bittersweet when a favorite series comes to an end, but I can’t wait to see what else this author has in store.
